I apologise to everyone for the distress I caused them by posting the link to that house the other day. I know. I KNOW. I hurt too.

But here's another house in a nearby suburb, with exactly the same tiles. What? Is there a sale, or perhaps a government rebate I've not heard about?

It's a bit of a shame because otherwise I quite like the look of this house, blood-red carpets and all. That unfortunate outdoor area is also good because hopefully it would put people off buying a place. But tiles are hard to take up, and so they are BAD.

I am feeling chatty now and hoping that better-than-normal service will soon resume on this blog.

I keep an eye on realestate.com.au for houses around the area we want to buy in when we go home, looking at what's available, what gets snapped up, what hangs around for ages so we might be able to get at a bargain. Every now and then something special comes up, like this. 

Please click the link and look at the pictures and then explain it to me. I do not know how the estate agent could have walked in there and not burst out laughing. What a diplomatic description: "a home that truly tests the limits of style....extraordinary fittings...certain to attract plenty of attention". Yes, in the manner of a train wreck or a really bad celebrity breakup.

Who the hell does this to a house? Also, who does this to a house and then leaves the outside looking like that? It boggles me. I mean, I like Property Ladder as much as the next person (even if the next person is Dave), but some people need to give less attention to Sarah Beeny's boobs and more to what's coming out of her mouth.

As an antidote, here's another house nearby that I would like very much, except it's too expensive and I don't like all the triffids in the front garden. The people who did the other house need to be shown this and then given a smack.
